Montee Ball was once a promising football player, but his career took a turn for the worse. Ball was a standout running back at the University of Wisconsin, where he set numerous records and was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 2011. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

In his rookie season, Ball struggled to find his footing and was plagued by injuries. He finished the season with just 559 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The following year, Ball was expected to be the Broncos' starting running back, but he suffered a groin injury in Week 5 that sidelined him for several weeks. He returned in Week 11 but was ineffective and lost his starting job to C.J. Anderson.

Ball was released by the Broncos in 2015 and signed with the New England Patriots, but he was cut before the start of the regular season. He then signed with the Baltimore Ravens but was released after just two weeks.

Ball's career was derailed by off-the-field issues. In 2014, he was arrested for domestic violence and was suspended for one game by the NFL. He was also arrested for driving while intoxicated in 2016.

After his release from the Ravens, Ball signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League, but he was released before the start of the season.

Ball's fall from grace serves as a cautionary tale for young athletes. Despite his early success, he was unable to overcome his injuries and off-the-field issues. He is a reminder that talent alone is not enough to succeed in professional sports.
